Tiberian Sun Universe heeft een review van Half-Life in elkaar weten te draaien.
Hier maar weer wat info...
Half-Life may well be the Starcraft of the 3D-shooting genre. It surpasses every competitor (Quake 2, Unreal, Trespasser, etc.) in virtually every aspect you could imagine; presentation, sound, graphics, and gameplay. For starters let me note the amount of shooters that have a tutorial…none? Once I noticed the “Hazard Course” option on the main menu I knew I was in for a treat. And if I may say the course was pretty cool. You had scientists commenting through a window above, and a computer generated hologram of a chick telling you what to do. The control of the game is above average also, but not too stellar at that. You have to quickly adapt to the different ways to climb into a manhole, jump from ledge to ledge, and strafe your way around tanks and commando’s. And I did it pretty well with the loose handling Half-Life offers. If you notice in the screenshots, you’ll see the nice almost transparent health bar, which gives more room for the overall display area.
