Creative Labs 3D Blaster Annihilator review

Nvidia's latest offering, although not living up to its pre-market hype, is certainly no slouch when it comes to raw processing power. The best part is that the focus on power doesn't cause any loss of visual quality or next generation features. It possesses both the strength and the eye candy to allow you to play the newest generation of games with high settings enjoyably. The Ge-Force breathes new life into some aging CPU's prolonging at least temporarily the inevitability of a complete system upgrade. I have to wonder though whether someone with a modest system will be able to afford the price of roughly $230. At any rate, if you skipped the last generation of 3dfx and Nvidia cards and find your video starting to choke on the latest and greatest the software companies have to offer be assured that the Creative Labs Annihilator is a solid all around choice delivering good 2D and excellent 3D performance. Keep on the look out as I will post a follow up review later using a more powerful CPU and when more true T&L titles start hitting the shelves.
