Bij 3D Spotlight hebben ze een review online gezet van de bekende Creative Labs 3D Blaster Annihilator geForce 256 videokaart. Hieronder een stukkie:
For a price of $250 this board is expensive to most people, but if you’re a speed freak like me, price is not a factor.I really like my Creative Labs Annihilator video board. I previously owned a Creative Labs TNT2 Ultra and I can say that the Annihilator is a little bit better than the TNT2 Ultra. If your able to overclock your TNT2 Ultra to very high levels, then you may want to wait for GeForce boards that support DDR memory.
The TNT2 Ultra video board that I had, had a lot of problems when I set my front side bus to something greater than 124 (82.66MHz AGP). The Annihilator has no problems so far with the 140MHz front side bus setting (93.33MHz AGP) meaning that nVidia looked into some way to increase stability with the AGP slot for BX chipsets.
Athlon users, on the other hand, have a lot of problems when using the Creative Labs Annihilator with their AMD 750 based motherboards. There is a fix available now that sets the AGP speed to 1X, but I don’t know if there will ever be a fix that will reenable AGP 2X functions and keep stability.
Athlon users may want to look at the Asus GeForce board. I hear that a lot of people are not having any problems when using the AMD 750 chipset and the Asus GeForce board. The Creative Labs Annihilator is a very good board and I do not regret getting this board even though I had a more than capable TNT2 Ultra.
