One of our readers sent in the following note regarding the news we published about the NVIDIA Linux OpenGL ICD in development: "There is no such thing as a "ICD" for Linux. The term "ICD" is an acronym coined by MicroSoft for a driver which links itself to Windows' WGL library.Nvidia isn't actually working on a Linux "ICD" (no such thing) but a full Linux OpenGL implementation.
It is similar as referring to a driver in Linux as a "VxD", which is a wholly Microsoft device driver."
