Bij CPU Review hebben ze nog een review online gekwakt van de Diamond Viper V770 Ultra. De kaart is getest met een AMD K6-2 400MHz systeem onder diverse games. Hieronder een klein stukkie:
The Diamond Viper 770 Ultra is an excellent graphics card; it is the best video card I've had the pleasure of using so far - and unlike some other Ultra TNT2's, I did not experience any overheating problems.In case you are wondering why there was not a significant performance improvement at the overclocked setting, the Viper 770 Ultra is being held back by how fast a K6-2 400 can feed it triangles; and as such most benchmarks will not show an improvement, as the processor simply can't feed it more information per unit time. You can see some improvement in Quake II and 3DMarks99 at the highest resolutions; but even in the cases where you can't see any further improvement the frame rates are excellent.
I am pleased to report that with the latest XFree86 Linux can make good use of TNT2 based video cards like the Viper 770.
