Hmmm...it seems everyone's been going mad with AMD news after the conference call. I'm trying to stay reserved about it, because there are a lot of insane-but-plausible things being said. Basically, the best case scenario of the rumours has the K6-3 being announced on February 24th at 450MHz and 500MHz in very small volumes, as well as an accelerated start of the K7 at the end of March or in early April (as noted before, there's been a rumour about Compaq getting first dibs on K7s in Q1). The worst case scenario seems to be K6-3 coming out rather late, perhaps in late March or April, and the K7 coming out in late June, which isn't technically late but we all would like it to come out early, I'm sure. I believe Jerry (Colenol of AMD) did mention something about the K7 sampling this month, and I have heard from one fellow that FAB25 is putting a lot of FAB25's capacity towards the K7.
