So far we haven't been able to locate an Athlon 700 CPU for sale that wasn't locked into a fully configured system, but reports are beginning to trickle in that indicate the OEM white box models have begun to ship out of AMD's warehouses.These initial shipments will be available within the next seven to ten days and will cost in the area of $800 to $900 each. Wide spread Athlon 700 CPU distribution will occur by the last week of October as volumes ramp up, and November should find most AMD resellers stocking the high-speed chip without a problem.
