AOpen pointed out that it is almost impossible now to obtain Super I/O whereas SRAM prices have gone up 30%. Other motherboard components like PCB, chipset, capacitor and clock oscillator etc. are also going up in prices due to shortage. In a related report, Digitimes Taiwan mentions that VIA will raise prices on their PC100 and PC133 chipset within the next two days or so. Also reported is that other than Micron, VIA has added IBM, Compaq, Packbell NEC, HP and several Korean OEMs to their list of Apollo Pro Plus 133A (APPP-133A) customers.
