Ik kwam bij JC nog wat korte info over de Intel i820 Rambus problemen:
Daiki left slight hints suggesting that Intel may have already given up on the i820 problem, and is recommending that motherboard makers make two RIMM boards only. There are some complaints about this, as DRDRAM works best in the kinds of applications that require insane amounts of memory (like heavy 3D rendering, a la 3dsmax). On top of that, there's some word that there are cropping up small problems even with two RIMM slots, though this is quite unconfirmed. But I don't think we'll be seeing 1 RIMM slot motherboards -- if we do, we won't be seeing Rambus for long. Got this bit from Boris Markov:
