Sony and Tall Trees said the picture will be a comedy, and won’t necessarily be as violent as the game itself (in which the characters wield shotguns and crowbars) — a sensitivity born of the recent Columbine, Colo., tragedy.“It won’t be gory, grizzly or graphic,” Topping said. “We’re sensitive to the current climate, but we’re also interested in making it a commentary on violence and how destructive it can be.”
Indeed, the comedic potential is high: The trouble begins when aliens, seeking out the most powerful brain on the planet, discover it belongs to the redneck’s prized porcine, which they abduct on its way to the country fair.
