Sharky Extreme heeft een verslag van de ECTS beurs op het net gezet. Naast veel games nieuws vind je in dit artikel ook wat vage hardware info:
NVidia also had a press event to show off the new geForce 256. The polygon pushing power of the card is undoubtedly impressive judging by the tree demo, and the cube environment mapping technology is already being used in some of their demos to impressive effect. 3dfx were also showing off their T-buffer technology. The full scene anti-aliasing is undoubtedly the most impressive aspect of this new technology, and it certainly looks like one of those things that you won't imagine how you managed without. However the war between these two 3d graphics giants is hardly over, especially as 3dfx has yet to reveal all the cards up its sleeve regarding its new graphics board. Will gamers go for the sheer power and cube environment mapping of the geForce, or the T-buffer and other unannounced features of the next 3dfx part? We'll have to wait and see.
