The Savage 4 Pro Xtreme chip is probably one of the last video chips you'll see that's still made with a .25 micron process. All the next generation chips will use smaller die sizes. The Savage2000 will use a .18 micron process, and Nvidia's GeForce 256 will use a .22 micron die size. The Stealth III Xtreme will have support for AGP 4x, but the increased AGP transfer rate won't be as important with the Savage 4 because the card already supports S3 texture compression.
The Savage 4 carries over all of the Savage3D's features including 32-bit color, 2048 x 2048 texture support, and full speed DVD video playback with motion compensation. The OEM version will feature a 143MHz core clock and 166MHz memory. The retail Xtreme will have a 166/166MHz core/memory clock.
