From a very reliable OEM source I learned that the reason for the AMD/MSI pullback in Japan was caused by MSI's attempt to cheapen their 6167 board design at the expense of stability. The source claims that MSI altered the AMD approved design to save more costs and produced an unreliable board in the process that has problems with DIMMs, power supplies and soundcards. All those boards have to be yanked from the channel and replaced with the fixed version. This contradicts allegations on japanese websites that Irongate itself is broken, the problem is with the motherboard layout and cheapened components. No doubt AMD is not very thrilled about this fubar.
