Falling revenues and a high-priced priced settlement with GT Interactive sent Midway Games’ Quarter 4 1999 financial results tumbling. Also impacting the company was a restructuring of its arcade business to optimize its Atari and Midway units, a move expected to save the company $5 million in annual overhead. Fourth quarter revenues were $56 million compared with revenues of $98 million in the same period last year. Midway reported a net loss of $15.4 million compared with net income of $9 million for the quarter ending June 30, 1998 -- $10 million of which was attributed to litigation costs, restructuring and other unconventional charges.
