So what did we learn after testing a dozen of this year's video cards? That they're all pretty good. The slower ones are generally cheaper, and good for people with slower machines who wouldn't benefit that much for a more expensive card anyway. Nearly every card in the roundup performed very well, giving an excellent game playing experience with good image quality, all the necessary features, and excellent 2D capabilities. Every video card now plays DVD movies very well with software DVD players if your machine is fairly quick (400MHz or faster). Really, compared to the cards of last year, every card in the roundup is a vast improvement, and their speed differences are really apparently only when gauged against each other. Put simply, the worst card released this year is still "average" quality.
