Taking into consideration the high operating temperatures of the Voodoo3 chip, we decided to see if the 5.5ns memory could stand a little more strain than the chipset itself, and liberated an old 486 cooling fan from its heatsink. We were able to snuggly position the fan over the 3500 TV's heatsink (and in the process completely block the adjacent PCI slot), and ran our tests again. This time, the 3500 reached a stable operation speed of 208MHz! Not too shabby indeed!Remember that overclocking is far from an exact science, and depending on any number of factors, including chip production, board and misc. component quality, and motherboard designs, your mileage may vary.
