Advanced Micro Devices Inc. here today announced a 400-MHz version of its K6-2-P microprocessor for notebook PCs. AMD's announcement comes just one day after Intel Corp. announced 400-MHz versions of its Pentium II and Celeron notebook processors.The 400-MHz processor will be manufactured with 0.25-micron process technology, while some of Intel's 400-MHz chips will be fabricated on a 0.18-micron manufacturing line.
