NVIDIA(TM) Corporation (Nasdaq:NVDA - news) announced today that in the May 1999 edition of VisionQuest 2000's survey of top-selling 3D graphics boards, the Creative Labs Graphics Blaster RIVA TNT, based on NVIDIA's RIVA TNT(TM) 3D processor, was reported as the highest selling product for March 1999.According to VisionQuest 2000, an industry-leading market tracking service, the RIVA TNT chipset was also the top selling graphic chipset available through retail stores, outselling its nearest competitor by almost 60%.
In addition to racking up the industry's highest number of units sold in March, the Creative Labs Graphics Blaster RIVA TNT was also chosen by PC World magazine in the June 1999 round-up of AGP graphics boards as the industry's ``Best Buy.'' This is the first time that a NVIDIA product has received this designation from PC World and follows an April 16 announcement of six other industry publications selecting the RIVA TNT as the highest rated 3D graphics processor available.
This new designation from PC World brings to a total of 104 worldwide awards that the RIVA TNT has helped NVIDIA customers win since its introduction in August 1998, making it one of the most highly decorated 3D processors ever.
