Aureal today announced the introduction of the Vortex Advantage soundcard, a new low-cost audio sub-system for systems integrators. Available only through the Aureal Preferred Partners Program (AP3), the Advantage is based on Aureal's Vortex® AU8810 audio processor and delivers quality 2D and 3D audio rendering and playback. The Vortex Advantage PCI soundcard features Aureal's A3D(TM) standard for 3D audio and delivers high-fidelity audio that exceeds PC99 requirements at an aggressive price point for low-cost PC integration. Additionally, the soundcard features a 10-band hardware equalizer, 256-voice wavetable synthesizer, and a digital game port. Vortex Advantage ships with drivers for Microsoft Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0.
