While the n30 GameMouse outperformed my initial expectations, its weight, odd shape and size, and compatibility bugs all weighed against it. If you're a gamer with short, wide hands who likes extremely sensitive mice and doesn't mind an oddly-placed third button, or if you're in the market for a force-feedback mouse, you might want to check the Nostromo n30 out... but that's a lot of 'ifs.' The fact is, however, that Belkin has a good idea here. If this mouse was more ergonomic, lighter, and easier to use, it'd be a great product. And the Immersion Technology used on their desktop may also have tremendous potential in other fields. The n30's sensitivity and wide range of reproducible feedback were both good points-the technology supporting them just needs to be strengthened.
The n50 speedpad, meanwhile, is an even more welcome product introduction for anyone looking for an easy-to-use setup that will builds upon and improves the familiar keyboard+mouse setup. The program / installation software is easy to figure out and use, and I experienced no compatibility trouble from the pad. If you're perfectly happy with your mouse + keyboard and the space you have to work with, give this product a miss-but if you're stuffed in a cramped box looking to free up some space or just get a little elbow room, the Speedpad n50 is a great buy.
