The chaps over at FrozenCPU absolutely know what the overclocker wants and the Blizzard 280 almost hits a homerun. I say almost because there are a couple blemishes on an otherwise excellent case. It's true the blizzard 280 does deliver effective cooling but the noise generated by the fans might become annoying to those with sensitive ears. The overall design of the Blizzard 280 Technical Gamer ATX case is pretty solid but the drive mounts could have been constructed more securely. Speaking of construction, the machine-punched wholes take the risk out of having those homemade case blowholes. The inclusion of the thumbscrews and the motherboard tray make this case ideal for those who upgrade frequently. The performance offered by the Blizzard 280 was pretty impressive as it dropped our case temp by roughly 6 degress celcius. Because of this temperature drop, we scored the 280 a perfect 5/5 in performance.
[...] The last category is the value of the product. While the 280 is a nice case for the overclocking gamer, we find it hard to recommend purchasing a case that costs $188 and is not a full tower. However, if you are in need of an excellent overclocking tool, the Blizzard 280 Technical Gamer ATX case may have you adding that third layer of clothing this summer.
