Bij HardOCP is een vergelijking online gezet waarin een flink aantal koelers grondig getest worden. De exemplaren die aan bod komen zijn onder andere de Global Win CAK38, de ThermalTake Copper Orb, de Thermosonic ThermoEngine en de Zalman CNPS3100G. Verder komen er nog een paar Taisol en Vantec koelers langs. Verrassend genoeg blijken de meeste koelers ongeveer vergelijkbaar te presteren. Another thing very worthy of stating is that we have one hell of a fine group of CPU coolers this time. They were all put under very stressful conditions that many of you will find yourselves in probably sooner than later as Athlons continue to fall in price. When using a high performance fan, almost the entire pack fell within FIVE DEGREES of each other. This is hardly a monumental Delta in temperatures. I would be hard-pressed to tell you that any one of these coolers is better than the other strictly based on temperature because of them being so close in performance. I would make sure to sit down and look at all the features of these coolers and match them to your specific needs and not simply pick the one that scored the best.
The competition is the market place is becoming evident by our results which can only be a good thing for all of us. Let's face it, you can only cool so much with room temperature air and many of these companies are getting to be very good at it.
Still only one gets the gold and this is the second time we have handed the winning spot over to the Thermosonic ThermoEngine.
