Hij leek morsdood, maar nu komt Videologic toch eindelijk met de officiële aankondiging van de PowerVR Series 2. Een half jaartje te laat en wat betreft de specs lijkt-ie dan ook geen concurrent voor de TNT2 en V3:

Neon 250 is being publicly shown for the first time at CeBIT '99 from 18 - 24th March in Hannover, Germany (Hall 9, stand A78).The VideoLogic Neon 250, an outstanding card for gamers, features a massive 16mb of high performance SDRAM memory, a 25OMhz RAMDAC, 125MHz clock-speed, the PowerVR 250 processor and full 2X AGP support. Retail units are expected to ship in June 1999, with an RRP of less than 125 British pounds sterling ex. VAT ($199).
