The performance of the Taisol High Performance is superb. I was able to overclock the PIII-700 all the way to 1050Mhz (145Mhz bus). This is a bit higher than what I got with my Alpha. At 1050Mhz, temp reading from the DigitalDoc2 was just 30.5 to 31C after half an hour of Prime 95 and Unreal test loops. These numbers were obtain with the fan blowing down on the heatsink. Temperature were about 1 to 2 C higher with the fan blowing up.
Taison has done a great job on this new cooler. Mind you that this cooler is really meant for use with AMD Socket A CPUs. However it will work with Intel CPUs as well. You just have to be extra careful to make the cooler mount flushed with the CPU.
Priced at $31.98 from Nerdsbyte, the Taisol High Performance is a very good value with top of the chart performance. The fan is a bit loud so if you're bother by noise, you may want to order your Taisol with a quieter but lower performing fan. Either way, you're getting one hell of a nice cooler. Just make sure it'll fit your motherboard first.
