Iemand van AllHW heeft de Olympus C-960 Zoom cam eens onder de loep genomen. De camera beschikt over een 1,3 Megapixel CCD en werkt met Smart Media cards van 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 en 64MB. Het apparaatje weegt zonder batterijen en Smart Media Card 270 gram. Met de standaard meegeleverde kaart van 8MB konden 18 foto's van 1280x960 gemaakt worden. Op 640x480 konden er ongeveer 40 op. Een groot nadeel is de seriële connectie met je computer. Het duurde 10 minuten om de 18 foto's die gemaakt waren op 1280x960 over te pompen op een Athlon 500:

The good points about the camera have to be, the LCD display which is top notch, and the ease of use. Whilst the bad points are the very slow serial connection, and the feel of the buttons.

For a novice user like myself, I think this is an ideal camera. But for those who want real power and control over their pictures, get one of the more expensive, and subsequently, better, models.
So, if you want a quality, cheap, digital camera to take to a music gig, or take a few snaps of your case mod’s, then this is the one. But, if you want lots of fancy options, and a great zoom feature, then look elsewhere.
Overall, a good basic camera.
