The Logitech WingMan Formula Force GP, the new standard in USB force-feedback racing wheels, replaces the WingMan® Formula™ Force with a similar feature set but at a significantly lower price. Force-feedback technology provides a heightened level of realism and interactivity in racing games by letting gamers feel the bumps on the road and the impact of hitting a wall or crashing without ever spending a dime on gas.
With a full-size 10-inch wheel, the WingMan Formula Force GP offers an extremely realistic feel, comfortable rubber handgrips and precise steering control. Two wheel-mounted gear shifters let gamers keep their hands on the wheel while changing gears quickly, while four fully-programmable buttons make for simplicity in controlling the horn, lights and other car functions. For those who like to put the ‘pedal to the metal,’ the Formula Force GP offers realistic gas and brake pedals, a weighted pedals base and a non-slip textured floorboard. A dual clamping system holds the wheel base tight and secure – all that’s missing is the checkered flag at the finish line.
The Formula Force GP racing wheel is easy to set up and use. Its USB interface provides plug-and-play performance with the Microsoft Windows® 98 and Windows® 2000 operating systems. With TouchSense™ technology licensed from Immersion Corporation (NASDAQ: IMMR), force feedback is available in all PC games written to support standard force feedback for either joysticks or racing games. It comes bundled with Sports Car GT™, a racing game by Electronic Arts™. Sports Car GT provides high-speed racing in the world’s fastest sports cars on a variety of tracks.
