With all the technical blurb and setting up procedures behind us lets get down to the nitty-gritty. How does it cope with images and games etc?
To be honest it does it better than any other monitor we've seen to date, save for the much more expensive Sony GDM-F500. "Crisp" doesn't begin to describe the clarity of any image viewed on this monitor. Why? Well apart from the Diamondtron technology helping out, this monitor is capable of insane refresh rates at even zanier resolutions. We personally ran the 510 at 1280 x 960 at 100Hz, it could even hit 120Hz if requested.
We pushed the resolution right up to the max 2048x1536 and still got a liveable 60Hz from the 510. Running the monitor at any resolution or any refresh rate saw no degradation in image quality. Even in the corners of the display, where a lot of monitors fall over in image quality, remained crisp and sharp at all times.
Playing games became more realistic, not only the superb reproduction of graphics but the sheer enjoyment that comes from playing on a monitor of this size made the experience all the better. You will need a hefty vid-card though to get the full enjoyment out of the Vision Master Pro 510, but in saying that, if you can afford a monitor like this, we would bet you would be running a good quality GFX card too. On the subject of money, yes it is a lot of cash to shell out.
