PC Stats heeft een leuke vergelijking online gemieterd tussen de Asus V6600 Pro met 64MB aan SDRAM en de Asus V6800 met 32MB aan DDR geheugen. De conclusie is simpel, het extra 32MB aan SDRAM is niet echt winstgevend en kan het bij lange na niet winnen van een DDR kaart met de helft (32MB) aan geheugen onboard:
The extra ram does not seem to help in Quake III Demo1. In fact the V6800 with 32MB DDR is the clear-cut Quake III performance leader. So less seems like more in this case. Additionally, the Pentium III 800EB Mhz is faster (20-30 FPS) in the lower resolutions whilst utilizing the DDR ram equipped Geforce.
[...] There is absolutely no reason why I would keep the Asus V6600 Pro 64MB if I had a choice between the two. The V6800 is faster in all of the benchmarks that matters to the average gamer. And while more RAM is generally good, it does not seem to usher in higher performance this time around. Having said all that, the V6600Pro is still a really fast card; it's simply just not as fast as its DDR toting brethren...
