Firmware-update: Netgear WNR3500 1.0.30

Netgear heeft nieuwe firmware beschikbaar gesteld voor de WNR3500, de vierde update sinds zijn initiele uitgave. Deze netwerkrouter bevat vier gigabitpoorten en kan draadloze verbindingen opzetten via de 802.11b-, 802.11g- en 802.11n-protocollen. Firmware 1.0.30 bevat diverse bugfixes en maakt het mogelijk om de 'Microsoft Internet Connectivity Evaluation Tool'-test in Windows Vista met vlag en wimpel te doorstaan. Zoals altijd bij draadloze routers is het beter de update via een bedraade verbinding te installeren. Hieronder is de volledige lijst met veranderingen en verbeteringen in deze release te vinden:

New Features and Bug Fixes

• Fix scheduled service blocking doesn't work beyond 23:59 to 00:01.
• Fix multiple large files downloaded in the same time from Internet issue.
• Support on "Disable Router's PIN" feature in GUI.
• Fix the GUI display issue in Firefox/Sarafi. (SSID is "Beaconfi House", but it shows "Beaconfi  House" in the Router Status page).
• Fix GUI issue: If to disable SSID Broadcasting, the WMM (Wi-Fi multi Media) Settings and Preamble settings will be changed to disable.
• Fix the connection problem with Motorola MSTATEA 2210 DSL modem at "PPP on PC" mode.
• Fix to upgrade the same firmware version through remote PC control problem.
• Fix WPS AP PIN method is not working on AP configured mode.
• Pass the Microsoft Internet Connectivity Evaluation Tool in UPnP item under Vista OS.
• Fix the UPnP daemon crash issue when access specific UPnP link.

Known Issues

• WDS link in 11n mode from WNR3500 will fail to connect with WGR614v8 and WPN824v3.
