Firmware-update: Creative Zen Vision:M 1.50.02e

Creative heeft enkele dagen geleden voor zijn Zen Vision:M-audiospeler nieuwe firmware uitgebracht. Het gaat om versie 1.50.02e, die door te klikken op deze link gedownload kan worden. In de nieuwe firmware zijn een aantal verbeteringen doorgevoerd, waaronder de ondersteuning voor de talen Tjechisch, Hongaars, Pools en Turks. Daarnaast is er een zogenoemde 'Volume Restriction' ingebakken waardoor de speler voortaan een maximaal volume kent. Het volledig changelog ziet er als volgt uit:

Added Features or Enhancements:

• Adds language support for Czech, Hungarian, Polish and Turkish.
• Adds the Volume Restriction feature, which allows you to restrict your player's maximum playback volume.
• Adds the Highly Rated and Yet To Be Rated options to your player's DJ.
• Improves DRM-protected file transfer latency.
• Provides the Zoom To Full option to crop a video and play back the video in full screen and while maintaining the aspect ratio.
• Supports Creative ZEN Vision:M Docking Station.

Fixes:

• Ensures proper video aspect ratio when playing back video files using the Video Out jack.
• Improves the battery's charging functionality.

Requirements:

• Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or later), Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 or later
• Windows Media® Player 10 or later
• AudibleManager version 5.00 or later for Audible audio content playback
• USB 1.1 port (USB 2.0 recommended for faster transfers)
• Creative ZEN Vision:M

Notes:

• This firmware supports the playback of Audible Type 2 and 4 tracks. Important: to transfer Audible content, you must have AudibleManager® version 5 or later installed. AudibleManager allows you to download, burn, organize, transfer and hear Audible audio content. Download AudibleManager from www.audible.com/software.
• To install this firmware
  1. Download the file into your local hard disk.
  2. Close all application and Windows Explorer windows that are currently running on your computer.
  3. Connect your player to your computer.
  4. Double-click the firmware file and follow the instructions on the screen.
• This firmware removes your player's FM recording feature.
