Op het Neowinforum zijn enkele dagen geleden alweer de juni-edities van AutoPatcher 2000, XP (de 32-bits en 64-bits versies) en 2003 Server beschikbaar gekomen. AutoPatcher is een handig hulpmiddel voor mensen die vaak één of meerdere pc (her)installeren. Het is één grote download met daarin onder andere alle kritieke en aanbevolen downloads van de Microsoft Windows Update-site die sinds een bepaald Service Pack uitgekomen zijn. Voor Windows 2000 is dat SP4, voor Windows XP SP2 en Windows 2003 Server SP1.
Alle componenten zijn afzonderlijk te selecteren en bovendien 'ziet' het programma welke updates reeds geïnstalleerd zijn. AutoPatcher wordt in het Engels ontwikkeld, maar er zijn diverse enthousiastelingen die aan vertalingen werken. Zo zijn er op dit moment versies beschikbaar in het Grieks, Italiaans, Pools en belangrijk voor velen ook in het Nederlands. Als download kan er worden gekozen voor een Full- of Lite-versie, het verschil zit hem in de hoeveelheid add-ons die worden meegeleverd.
