Er is een nieuwe versie uit van Skype Answering Machine, of kortweg SAM. Het gaat om versie 1.0.3.0 en deze kan vanaf hier worden gedownload. Zoals de naam al aangeeft functioneert dit programma als een antwoordapparaat voor Skype en is in staat om berichten op te nemen als jij niet thuis bent of geen zin hebt om te antwoorden. SAM laat in een overzicht zien wie er wanneer gebeld heeft en de lengte van de eventueel achtergelaten boodschap. Je hebt dan de mogelijkheid om het bericht te beluisteren, de persoon terug te bellen of een bericht te sturen. Het changelog ziet er als volgt uit:
