Software-update: UltraEdit 8.20

JWB schrijft: "Op http://www.ultraedit.com is te zien dat er een nieuwe versie van UltraEdit het levenslicht heeft gezien. Het gaat om versie 8.20. Een must voor scripters/programmeurs, en een welkome vervanging van het kladblok dat standaard bij Windows zit." Deze update geldt alleen voor de 32 bit versie, deze is hier te downloaden. De "oude" 16 bit versie kan je nog steeds hier downloaden. Er zijn heel wat aanpassingen in deze nieuwe versie:

UltraEdit v8.20 Changes

• Full Screen mode
• Improved UNICODE support on all Win32 platforms
• Support for UTF-8 and conversions to/from UTF-8
• Support for the new WM_UNICHAR message
• Rename of files supported
• Column mode justify (Left, Right, Center) to justify text just in the specified columns
• Find in Files and Replace in Files option for UNICODE Searches
• Command line option to ignore file delete detection just for the files loaded from the command line
• File change notification dialog now allow all or none options for reloading changed files
• Search string not found dialog now has option to search from other end of file
• Increased recent project list to 12 entries
• INI Setting for file compare EXE to use in place of UltraEdit's compare
• INI option to ignore file delete detection
• Macro support to clear clipboard
• Macro support to close file with option to save file, or not to save file without prompt
• Other minor changes

Wat is het verschil 32bits en 16 bits?

16 bits versie is voor windows 3.*. 32 bits voor windows 9*, Me , NT, 2000, xp

miereneukermodus: 16 bits draait prima onder Windows 9x, NT, 2000 hoor

Echter is 32 bits "stabieler" doordat het (in theorie) het systeem niet laat crashen zodra het programma crashed.

Misshien een tekort aan news admins die overbelast raken door de vele newspost iedere dag. Het is inderdaad jammer dat een goede site als dit gewoon vaak wat achter loopt met somige dingen. Hopelijk weten ze hier wel wat op te vinden.

Haha, dan ga ik me helemaal nerd voelen zeg, lekker aan het coden met alleen maar een wit scherm met letters voor je neus. Maar tis wel handig, want wie gebruikt er nou een muis in Ultra-Edit???
