Software-update: BitSpirit 2.7.2.215

Enkele dagen geleden heeft ByteLinker een nieuwe versie van zijn BitTorrent-client BitSpirit uitgebracht. Het gaat om versie 2.7.2.215 en deze kan vanaf deze locatie worden neergehaald. Deze client laat in één overzichtelijk scherm alle downloads zien, kan torrents schedulen en de pc afsluiten als hij klaar is. Het changelog bij deze release laat de volgende veranderingen zien:

Fixed

• a bug when "disable TCP monitor option" may cause program lock up or fail to download.
• a series of bug occuring with files select download. (including fail to changing files option after add a new mission).
• a number of bug about NAT Traversal. (IP changing may cause serious speed down along with NAT Traversal abate).

Ah, mijn favoriete client
Haal hier altijd de snelste downloadsnelheid mee.
Daarnaast is het enorm makkelijk in gebruik.
Voor mij geen andere meer iig.
Wel moet ik zeggen dat versie 2.7.0 niet zo'n geweldige versie was. Die was langzamer dan de versie 2.6.3, die ik dus ook nog steeds gebruik, en wat mij betreft tot nu toe ook de allerbeste versie is.
Ga deze natuurlijk wel even testen

Bij Azureus is het mogelijk om al het verkeer via 1 poort te regelen.
Dit is voor mij wel makkelijk ivm een router die moeite heeft met port forwarden.
kan deze, of een andere client dat ook?

Azureus gebruikt inderdaad voornamelijk 1 poort. volgens mij valt het bij iedere client wel in te stellen welke poorten er gebruikt gaan worden, maar is azureus inderdaad de enige die het zo simpel houdt, met alsnog een redelijke snelheid. heb bitspirit even geprobeerd en het liep al met al niet echt vlotjes. gewoon azureus gebruiken!

Ben anders nog nooit een router tegengekomen waarbij je niet makkelijk een poort of een range aan poorten makkelijk kan forwarden..

Kga daar m'n torrent-progje niet van af laten hangen. (Ik gebruik niet eens torrents maar stel...)

Het wordt inderdaad moeilijk kiezen wat te gebruiken. Azareus is ook niet slecht anders. Ik blijf BitTornado gebruiken lijkt me sneller te gaan.

Ik gebruik deze nu ook sinds enkele dagen en het downloaden gaat nu aanzienlijk sneller.

Het is bijna onmogelijk te vergelijken welke client sneller is, in de source zitten minieme verschillen,
en de snelheid hangt dan ook af van geluk,
namelijk dat je de goede peers te pakken krijgt.

De client kies ik daarom ook op mogelijkheden en interface.

Ik gebruik nog steeds BitTornado (www.bittornado.com). Die is voor mij de beste keuze, zodra de instellingen naar wens zijn is het de Torrentfile openen en downen maar .

wat is/zijn eigenlijk de voordelen van een andere client tegenover de "standaard" (die ik gebruik)
