In het forum van Miranda IM is enkele dagen geleden versie de eerste Release Candidate vrijgegeven van versie 0.4. Miranda is een open source Instant Messageing-programma en kan standaard verbinding maken met de netwerken van AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, en IRC. Meer netwerken en functionaliteit kan worden toegevoegd door middel van plugins. Het gebruik van deze versie, die als zip-bestand of als installer kan worden gedownload, is alleen bedoeld voor gevorderde gebruikers die mee willen helpen met het testen ervan. Ook word aangeraden de huidige plugins eerst te deinstalleren. Het changelog van deze release laat de volgende veranderingen zien:

Maar mag ik dan uit deze quote afleiden dat plugins voor Miranda 0.3.x niet compatibel zijn mt 0.4.0? Als dat zo is, zijn er dan al voldoende plugins beschikbaar/wel compatibel gemaakt met deze versie? Er zijn nl een hele hoop functies die ik voor geen geld van de wereled opnieuw zou willen missen in miranda
