Firmware-update: 3Com OfficeConnect Wireless 1.03.07

3Com heeft voor zijn OfficeConnect Wireless-accesspoint met het typenummer 3CRWE454G72 nieuwe firmware beschikbaar gesteld. Het gaat om versie 1.03.07 en is als executable via deze pagina neer te halen. Deze release voert enkele kleine bugfixes door, getuige het changelog:

Feature or Fix: Fixed the following bugs:

1. IP address of the DUT can't store when configure through Wizard in Client Bridge mode.
2. Password can accept less than 3 characters in WEB UI of the DUT.
3. Space character accepting in encryption string when enable the WEP.
4. Unnecessary characters showed on the outside of textbox.

De download mag dan wel een onduidelijke naam hebben met 3CRWE454G72_21Jul04.exe , wat suggereert dat hij van 21 juli 2004 is, maar de releasedate is toch echt 4 december.

Beetje slordig van 3com eigenlijk.
Versie 1.03.05 had minder tijd tussen datum in filename en uiteindelijke releasedate (1 juni '04 -> 4 juni '04)

Heb je hem al geupdate en levert het iets aan snelheidswinst op?
Want als ik zo naar de fixed bugs kijk, dan is het niet echt nodig om te upgraden.
