Software-update: Zigbee2MQTT 2.14.2

Zigbee2MQTT logo Versie 2.14.2 van Zigbee2MQTT is uitgekomen. Zigbee2MQTT maakt het mogelijk om Zigbee-apparaten aan te sturen zonder gebruik te hoeven maken van de gateway of bridge van de fabrikant. Dit doet het door van MQTT gebruik te maken, waardoor het eenvoudig te integreren is in smarthomesoftware, zoals bijvoorbeeld Home Assistant, Homey of Domoticz. De changelog sinds versie 2.14.0 kan hieronder worden gevonden.

Fijne software. Heb het zelfs draaien via ser2net om de dongel op afstand te kunnen gebruiken.

Anders dan Zwavel JS werkt zigbee2mqtt gewoon betrouwbaar. En simpel als addon van home assistant.

ZWaveJS werkt voor mij om en nabij net zo betrouwbaar. Enige issue dat ik periodiek met ZWaveJS heb is dat er vaker periodes zijn geweest dat de stick regelmatig vast liep. Maar na meermaals (weken / maanden lang) dit issue gehad te hebben is mijn vermoeden intussen dat dit komt door een vrijwel lege batterij in mijn Fibaro MultiSensor (aka: slechte / wegvallende verbinding doordat de sensor klappert). Het viel mij na de laatste keer vervangen van de batterij in ieder geval op dat ik dit issue niet meer gehad heb. Ik heb relatief weinig ZWave apparaten, en op batterij verder alleen een Neo Coolcam PIR, die nog veel langer op een batterij meegaat. Dus wellicht dat het issue daar ook mee speelt maar ik het niet gemerkt heb.

V.w.b. Z2M dan wel eigenlijk nooit issues gehad. In die denk 6 of 7 jaar dat ik het nu gebruik misschien 1x een revert gedaan na een update en ik meen ook 1x verder gemodderd met een apparaat dat niet meer goed werkte maar met een hotfix na een paar dagen was opgelost.

Edit:
Overigens had Z2M van vorige maand dan wel een relatief serieus issue waardoor rolluiken en dergelijke niet meer goed werkten (in combinatie met HA?). Waarvoor dan ook een hotfix gekomen is. Dus ook Z2M kent wel eens serieuzere issues waarvoor er een extra update komt (i.p.v. vast op de eerste van de maand).
