Firmware-update: Konika Minolta Dimage A2 1.12

Konika Minolta heeft voor zijn Dimage A2-camera nieuwe firmware uitgebracht, te weten 1.12. De update kan gebruikt worden op MacOS X- en Windows-systemen, en zorgt voor een viertal softwarematige verbeteringen voor de digitale camera. Het changelog van de 1.12-release ziet er als volgt uit:

Improvements:

1. Improved the symptom that visibility of LCD decreases depending on the subject brightness while using the Flex Digital Magnifier function.
2. Improved the symptom that LCD turns off or the camera cannot focus on the high brightness subject with the Flex Focus Point at the focal length of 100mm.
3. Improved the flash metering accuracy.
4. Changed the viewfinder operation from the viewfinder turns off immediately after leaving the eye to it remains 10 sec. when the display mode switch is at EVF.

Wat me zo snel opviel is dat de flash output is verhoogd (geen +0.7 flash compensation meer nodig) en de white-balance met name van flash-foto's is enorm verbeterd (was voorheen nogal blauw). Ook zijn de kleuren van de EVF en LCD dichter bij elkaar gekomen en is de LCD een stuk minder geel-ig.
