Apple heeft een patch gereleased voor zijn Remote Desktop. De update is bedoeld voor Mac-computers die uitgerust zijn met OS X 10.1 en hoger. Deze versie zorgt onder meer voor een snellere data-overdracht tussen computers op 100BASE-T-netwerken. Daarnaast hebben de ontwikkelaars het programma onder handen genomen en plaats gemaakt voor extra icons en status indicators. - Large files copy up to 30 percent faster on 100BASE-T networks.
- Improves performance when using the Observe, Control, or Sharing screen on 100BASE-T networks.
- Includes new Apple Remote Desktop menu extra icons and status indicators.
- Includes a new command line tool can be used in lieu of the GUI preference pane.
- Includes new defaults keyword AdminConsoleAllowsRemoteControl, which allows you to administer a client that is also running the administration application.
- Computer status windows no longer "flicker" when Apple Network Assistant 3 clients are present.
