I was just about to post the same question.
From looks v1.1 loses a number LEDs on the front panel resulting in a config similar to the BEFW11S4 v4, a move probably to save cost, also notable is appearance of the Cisco logo on the front in place of the "Instant Wireless" logo.
As to the innards there doesn't seem to be any info as no v1.1 WRT54G has appeared in the FCC registration or is there any new version of the WM54G miniPCI card which the v1.0 uses and is labelled under. In fact the last 4 additions to Linksys' FCC applications dating from April 2003 are changes to a the BEFCMUH4 (wireless cable gateway), new BEFW11S4 v4, new WMP54G v2 (802.11g PCI card), and changes to the BEFW11S4 v4. So unless they decided to use another OEM's miniPCI card or they have a new radio card version that hasn't been approved yet, v1.1 probably uses the same hardware.
(After more searching the only thing from Linksys "recently" approved that could remotely be stuck inside is the WCB54G a 802.11g cardbus module. However it is based on the Intersil Prism GT instead of the Broadcom AirForce.)
According to the new data sheet, output remains the same, as is the listed features. Also note Linksys has yet to put up the firmware page for v1.1.
