Pinnacle Systems, die bezig is met de ontwikkeling van het videobewerkingspakket Pinnacle Studio, heeft sinds kort versie 8.8.14 beta beschikbaar gesteld aan zijn gebruikers. Hierin zijn weer een groot aantal verbeteringen in terug te vinden zoals onderstaande release notes ons melden:

- Editing of menus does not update all menu pages in project
- Re-compiles between consecutive disc burnings
- DVD burning with 2 or more copies fails
- Estimated file size is wrong after switch from Capture to Make Movie mode
- Skip to next chapter doesn't work on SVCD and VCD
- Rendering of AVI with other than PCM-Sound causes noise in output-file or a studio crash
- MPEG-1 editing with multiple source files is sluggish
- Custom menu highlights do not appear on burned DVD
- Pasting a fade title in front of another clip pastes in the wrong place
- Make disk preview screen shows video from previous project.
- Rectangles and ellipses are not displayed during a crawl title
- Output to VGA leaves video in background when terminated by pressing space bar
- Make Movie: calculation of the free space is not correct
- Text-placement wrong after rendering some titles
- Audio peak meters in Volume Tool do not work for MPEG audio
Studio 8.8.12 includes the following improvements over Studio 8.7.23
- Studio becomes non responsive during long MPEG editing sessions
- 1 wrong frame being introduced in between scenes after render
- Return to menu and Chapters can be placed outside safe zones in transitions
- The automatic scene detection is accurate
- Saving a project no longer takes a long time after make tape
- Previously recorded CD-RWs may be re-used
- Audio no longer drops out after dissolve transitions
- Improved AV Sync
- Fixed failed to compile issues
- Capture in SVCD quality does stops at time limit
- Fixed menu navigation issues
- DVD+RW burn process ejects disc
- Can now add clip to the END of the timeline
- Fixed render hang issues
- Auxiliary files are deleted properly
- HFX transition album displays properly with more then 16 effects when using HFX PRO
- Eliminated wrong frame between scenes after rendering MPEG file
- Eliminated wrong frame after transition while previewing in edit mode
- Return To Menu can be dragged to end of clip
