Iedereen is wel bekend met een of ander programma om wat stats te laten zien van hun computer. Dat kan via een balk met behulp van Statbar en Winbar, maar ook via CoolMon. Dit is vooral te zien op het forum; users die op hun Windows-desktop een programma gebruiken om verschillende soorten statistieken te laten zien. Linux-gebruikers maken meestal gebruik van het programma GKrellM. Dit programma is in staat om stats te laten zien door middel van één process, wat ten goede komt van de system load.
Versie 2.1.8 is de nieuwste versie, en is onder andere beschikbaar voor Windows, MacOS X en Linux. Een van de nieuwe features is het waarschuwingssysteem: je wordt gewaarschuwd wanneer de load, het CPU-gebruik of de swap-file groter wordt dan de ingestelde waarde.
