AMD heeft kort geleden een nieuwe bèta-Catalyst-driver uitgebracht en deze wordt onder de bètavlag aangeboden. De driver is alleen geschikt voor Windows 7 en Windows 8.1, met een aparte download voor 32bit- en 64bit-omgevingen. Ondersteuning voor Windows 8.0 is sinds versie 14.6 komen te vervallen en AMD adviseert dan ook om de gratis update naar Windows 8.1 te installeren. Met de nieuwe driver zijn onder meer prestatieverbeteringen in Dragon Age: Inquisition en Far Cry 4 waar te nemen. Verder zijn er enkele problemen verholpen, maar zijn er ook nog een aantal waar AMD wel bekend mee is maar er nog geen oplossing voor heeft.

Resolved Issues
- All previous versions of AMD Catalyst drivers must be completely uninstalled to receive full benefits of this driver. Please make sure to completely uninstall all previous AMD Catalyst? display drivers before installing the 14.11.2 Beta.
- The AMD CrossFire profile for Far Cry 4 is currently disabled in this driver while AMD works with Ubisoft to investigate an issue where AMD CrossFire configurations are not performing as intended. An update is expected on this issue in the near future through an updated game patch or an AMD driver posting.

AMD is currently working with BioWare to resolve the following issues:
- [408723]: System can sometimes hang when upgrading to Catalyst 14.11.2 from Catalyst14.7 in AMD CrossFire configurations. As a workaround please completely uninstall previous Catalyst software versions before installing Catalyst14.11.2 beta.

- Uneven hair corruption sometimes observed in Assassins Creed Unity when applying "ultra" game settings.
- Flickering occasionally observed between windows on walls in Assassins Creed Unity.
- Windows/Doors intermittently flash with black textures in Assassins Creed Unity.
- Assassins Creed Unity occasionally exits to desktop when "ultra" game settings are applied.
