Movix² is ook aangekomen bij een nieuwe versie welke ditmaal het versienummer 0.2.2 draagt. Er zijn twee versie te downloaden namelijk Movix² 0.2.2 en Movix²-ISO 0.2.2 de tweede is al een voor gecompileerde versie van de eerste. De release notes melden ons het volgende:

This is mainly a bugfix release: nmixer now works, Matrox and Dxr3 forgotten modules modules have been finally included, a script to produce the iso file has been introduced, detection of Diamond Viper || and Sapphire Radeon cards should now work.
IMPORTANT: NVidia proprietary drivers have been removed according to the NVidia license I've just read (nobody can re-distribute their drivers without their authorization). I will contact them asap to obtain this authorization and put back their drivers asap.
Changes:
mplayer has been updated to 0.90pre10 and support for xvid, cd audio, tv and lirc has been added.
Linux kernel has been recompiled so that now the instruction "poweroff" really powers off the PC.
Support for Matrox, Dxr3, Diamond Viper II, Sapphire/Radeon has been fixed.
All important config files/script have been extracted from the initrd.gz to make easier their development.
A script for making the iso file with mkisofs has been added. NVidia proprietary drivers have been eliminated.
Release notes voor Movix²-ISO
This package contains a pre-made iso image for MoviX2 0.2.2 to make easier producing a MoviX2 CD to people with M$ WIndow$ or simply people hating mkisofs :-) If you want to use a different font set or giving a look to MoviX2 config files and scripts please download the standard MoviX2 package and follow the instructions in the README.
