MP3Gain is aangekomen bij versie 0.9.8, het wordt nog niet aangeraden om te upgraden als je geen problemen ondervindt vanwege het feit dat er een nieuwe bug is ingeslopen. Deze zal echter snel worden verholpen dus vermelden we alvast deze nieuwe versie in de meuktracker. Het programma wordt als volgt beschreven:
MP3Gain analyzes and adjusts mp3 files so that they have the same volume. MP3Gain does not just do peak normalization, as many normalizers do. Instead, it does some statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear. Also, the changes MP3Gain makes are completely lossless. There is no quality lost in the change because the program adjusts the mp3 file directly, without decoding and re-encoding.[break]De volgende informatie vinden we terug in de release notes:[/break]Version 0.9.8 Beta available. No new features, but I fixed some code that was causing problems with DBCS file names (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.) Use version 0.9.7 unless you specifically have a problem with DBCS file names. It looks like I screwed something up for Windows 9x (including WinME) users. I'll work on fixing that bug. In the meantime, I'll leave the 0.9.7 Beta links working below.
