Voor de Linksys router BEFSX41 is een nieuwe firmware uitgebracht, welke het versienummer 1.44 draagt. Volgens hbongers is deze versie niet geschikt in combinatie met MxStream van KPN Telecom. De release notes melden ons de volgende punten:
This release made some changes to address some issues that customers have been having.
- Added Security by requiring password change for Remote Management.
- Fixed CGI script locking the router
- Fixed reboot problem with Long Passwords.
- Fixed Lynx connection to the router without Proper Authentication.
- Fixed CGI script detecting ".xml" and would bypass authentication.
- Fix VPN tunnel disconnecting using FTP.
