Software-update: Calibre 1.12

Zoals bijna elke vrijdag is er ook deze keer weer een nieuwe versie van Calibre uitgekomen. Calibre is een opensource- en crossplatform-e-bookbeheerprogramma. Het kan onder andere alle relevante informatie en kaftafbeeldingen opzoeken, en e-boeken converteren om ze geschikt te maken voor de diverse soorten e-readers. Verder kan het kranten, tijdschriften en nieuwsartikelen op basis van rss-feeds omzetten in e-bookformaat, en kunnen er boeken worden aangeschaft bij de bekende webwinkels. In versie 1.12 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:

New Features

• Auto adding: Option to add files of all types, not just ebooks. You can now tell calibre to auto add all file types, instead of just known ebooks via Preferences->Adding books->Automatic adding. Closes tickets: 1252814
• Quick view: Show the title/author/series columns in the same order as in the main book list. Closes tickets: 1253022
• Update Kobo driver to allow sending kepubs. Closes tickets: 1252688
• Allow right clicking on covers to copy them in the metadata cover download dialog. Closes tickets: 1251793

Bug Fixes

• Titlecase: Fix incorrect title casing for some non-English words. Closes tickets: 1253692
• Kobo driver: Fix errors when using rating or numerical custom columns to create shelves. Closes tickets: 1253637
• E-book viewer: Allow searching to work with hyphenation enabled, provided you are searching for whole words. Searching for partial words may still not work. For robust searching, turn off hyphenation in the viewer preferences.
• Get books: Update the B&N UK store plugin to handle changes to the B&N UK website
• Apply changes being edited when clicking apply in the email preferences list. Closes tickets: 1252758
• Fix crash on linux systems whose fontconfig configuration includes paths to in an undecodable encoding.
• Fix editing custom column values in the book list not allowing change of case. Closes tickets: 1251768
• Kobo driver: Fix latest firmware update for Kobo Wifi causing calibre to not recognize it. Closes tickets: 1251536
• Content server: Fix virtual libraries with an ampersand in their names not working
