Alwil Software is bezig met de eerste grote update voor versie 8.0 van zijn beveiligingsprogramma's en heeft daarvan nu een nieuwe bèta uitgebracht. Het programma is beschikbaar in de gratis Free Antivirus-, en de betaalde Pro Antivirus en Internet Security-uitvoeringen. Daar is nu Premier bijgekomen, dat extra beheersfuncties heeft, zoals de mogelijkheid om een pc op afstand over te nemen en eventueel de harde schijf te wissen. Nieuw is onder meer SecureLine, een betaalde vpn-service, die in tegenstelling tot de vorige testversie nu wel geactiveerd is.
