Er is een bètarelease van versie 3.50 van mediaspeler AIMP verschenen. Deze gratis lichtgewichtmediaspeler van Russische makelij heeft ondersteuning voor de populairste muziekformaten. Het uiterlijk heeft wat weg van Winamp en is door middel van skins aan te passen. AIMP heeft een 18-kanaalsequalizer aan boord en ondersteunt plug-ins. Verder kan het programma cd's rippen, muziekbestanden converteren en tags editten.
In versie 3.50 zijn onder andere de prestaties verbeterd. Ook is het configuratiescherm veranderd, wat ook tot gevolg heeft dat configuratiebestanden van versie 2.x niet meer ondersteund worden. Ook zijn de mogelijkheden met betrekking to het 'skinnen' van het programma veranderd. Een aparte skin editor kan hier worden gevonden.
