Software-update: Trillian Astra 5.1 build 16

Cerulean Studios heeft een update voor Trillian Astra versie 5.1 uitgebracht. Met dit instant-messagingprogramma kan worden gechat met gebruikers van een groot aantal instant-messaging- en sociale netwerken, waaronder Windows Live, ICQ, Skype (alleen tekst), Twitter en Facebook. Trillian Astra is beschikbaar voor Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android en BlackBerry. Daarnaast is er een versie die in een webbrowser draait en dus overal gebruikt kan worden.

In versie 5.1 is onder andere de Skype-integratie verbeterd, waardoor het nu eindelijk ook mogelijk is om gesprekken te voeren, waar vroeger alleen tekstberichten via Skype konden worden verstuurd. Videogesprekken horen echter nog niet tot de mogelijkheden. Wel is het nu mogelijk om via alle ondersteunde netwerken afbeeldingen te versturen en is de gespreksgeschiedenis verbeterd. In deze release zijn de volgende bugfixes doorgevoerd:

Ik ben benieuwd of je nu wel bestanden kan sturen naar contactpersonen die Windows Live Messenger gebruiken. Bij 15 was het zo dat je direct weigert als iemand je wat stuurt, en als je zelf wat stuurde kreeg de ander niets te zien.
